can someone clue me in on this mower. I just got it it has set for a few yrs motor runs good the problem is one of the drive wheels was not moving I back off the brake lever it will roll now. but with engine running it just creeps along slow push pedal further down kills the engine both forward an reverse.brake pedals and parking brake do not move seems frozen up what controls the hydro pedals to kill engine when engaged im lost on it.

Figure out how to release the brakes. They are twin shoe type like older cars. Brake release on on the steering column (rear face). Check the fluid level (sight glass near driveshaft).

If still nothing, pull off the drive wheels and pop off the brake drums to see if the axles are turning without a problem. A really good machine to run but has some quirky issues (fuel tank lines rotted and would not feed to the pump).

It probably needs glow plugs, so buy some off ebay and install. Mice like to nest in the air cleaner.

Don't EVER run it out of fuel. PITA to get restarted. Need to bleed out the injectors. Tank switch from one to the other is not related to the fuel gauge switch. The gauge can show full and you run out because you are reading the wrong tank.

I put solid tires on the front deck wheels. No more flats.

I have the brakes released it's when you depress the forward or reverse pedals it kills the engine it will.goe forward and backwards if you barely in gauge pedals it there a electrical switch that is killing motor when i engage pedals?

Possibly a seat safety switch issue?
