Good afternoon. I have a JD 850 around 89 that I just solved a problem with and have another maybe related or cause by.
My draft control was pushed accidentally to the limit and caused pump squealing. It forced hydraulic fluid into the backhoe as to take over and I then shut machine down. Drove it home a few hundred feet with pump squealing until a member here pointed out that I should check the draft control and sure enough it was beyond the stop.
Could this have harmed the pump?
Now I have hydraulic chatter as the oil warms up to temp.
Seems everything is rather weak on the loader and the fluid flow is very much shuddering in short surges like a chatter.
Should I be inspecting any valves or does this sound like a pump problem?
