Anyone have any experiences good or bad with this mower. My son is going into semi commercial mowing and we are looking to get him a zero turn but am hesitant to drop the cash on a new one. I have chance to buy a 2005 local. Its not just for him we have a business with a fairly large lawn to maintain and it would speed that up also.

Thanks in advance for the opinions.

I bought a used 2004 777 w/ 60" deck couple years ago. Ran it for a couple months and fell into a good deal on a 2005 797 w/60" deck. The 777 was a good machine and the 797 I still have has been a great machine as well.

Just look it over very well, Also, look on Tractorhouse.com or Machinefinder.com and compare prices and machines.

I've put about 700 hours on our work 757.

Its fast with lots of power and very easy to use. Very comfortable work station. Very reliable.

The down side is on rough ground you feel every bump. It will spin and get stuck in wet areas. It can tear up a wet yard when turning. It will tend to slide when going straight down a small hill or at an angle going down hill when wet and I do mean a small hill, so if there is a car of fence at the bottom only go straight across a hill.

All that said it is a great machine. I highly recommend it. Just remember Z-traks and wet don't go well together
