I am prepping a newly aquire planter to put in some "Mexican Corn" this weekend and was looking at the Yetter service/parts book and just realized I don't have the baffle they call out for corn. The fellow I bought it from said he'd planted 40ac of sweet corn with it last year, and, appearantly didn't need it. Do I need this baffle? It looks like a piece of tin made in a rectangle with corners folded down and is held in with 1/4"x 3-1/4" bolts and springs. I've got new seed plates fitted for our seed from Lincoln Ag Products. I am cleaning and lubing the drive head gearing and changing out to the correct sprockets. It show as key #4 page 29 in the Yetter book. Anyone know if this makes a deal breaker for planting this weekend? bjr
