Tractor
Had TC25D, now JD X310
No, I didn't sell my faithful little TC25D. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I was outside last evening assembling my wife's new tow behind sprayer and heard the unmistakable sound of a tractor coming up the road. It was the township mowing the grass at the edge of the road. They had been using an old Massey. Lo and behold, my tax dollars bought them a brand new JD 6420 with a side mounted mower. The mower was one of those articulated ones that could be extended via hydraulics. Back to the 6420...nice cab, plenty of lights. Musta been air conditioned cuz it was all closed up. I felt like a little kid who hears the bell of the ice cream truck! It was all I could do to not run out and ask to climb all over the tractor. Of course, just as he was coming down the other side of the road, my wife came out to check the progress on the sprayer. I told her to check out what was coming down the road. She wasn't impressed. Kinda just stared at me like I was nuts. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif That 6420 was one great looking tractor.

Man, can I relate to that! My wife pretty much ignores my constant pointing out of heavy ag equipment, construction equipment and in particular, cranes. Must be a guy thing /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm a little luckier there. My wife was raised on a ranch out in Montana so she knows what the tractors and machinery are all about. It was actually her that said we needed another tractor so we could quit hauling the 4020 from place to place.

Don't feel left out. My wife is "tractorially challenged" as well. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Don't feel bad Mike. My wife supports my getting a tractor (she even stopped at the local NH dealer the other day to pick up the latest brochures for me! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif), and she still gives me that look when I see a tractor some place.
