I've looked into this model more and talked with a guy I know who has a 6130D that he bought a couple years ago. He also has a 7330 or 7230 the same age. He says its not the same tractor as the 7XXX series but bang for the buck he felt its was still decent and is glad he bought it instead of paying 30K more for the upgraded series. Hydraulics are slower, lift capacity less, noisery cab but the thing that he doesn't like for his uses for it is GEARS.. If they only would have made it a 12 speed as for haying it doesn't quite have enough gears sometimes. That's my concern too with the JD in this class. MY old cases are 12 speeds with 3 gears being road range only and not usefull in the field. So I'm left with 9 which is pretty good over all. My main tractor the valtras has 36 gears with the creeper range but really only 24 I use and out of those 4 or 5 are road gears as it has a 40KM trans. NO problem finding the right gear with that one but then its a way more $$$ machine.
So with the JD 6015D 9 speed once you take off its 3 road gears there is only 6 left:thumbdown:. Which for my farm running at rated PTO RPM square baling and running a disc mower its not ideal. In this Class (95hp pto, basic tractor) I've noticed that NH and Kubota offer a similar tractor but with a 12 speed which I think would be better for haying. NOt sure about the tractors though I have to check into them more.
