JD 59" blower - no shear bolt on the impeller?

Is there no shear bolt on the impeller of the 59" blower? I sure can't find any mention of one.

I'm not sure if there are multiple versions of the 59-inch blower but looking at the diagram on JD Parts, could it be item 13?

Is is not on the Input Shaft (PTO). I have a Rear Blower and have on Shear bolt on the Input Shaft (PTO) and one on the Auger Drive.

I thought the OP was referring to the JD 59" front-mount blower?

Yes, he is refering to the front mount, but I would assume the Shear Bolts may be in the same location?

Thats what I thought at first, but item #14 in your illustration is a shaft key. Wouldn't do much good to have a shear bolt there if that part is also keyed to the shaft.

I'm looking at the 59-inch blower operators manual on the JD site and in the shear bolt replacement section they only mention the bolts on the auger. By comparison, in the 47-inch and 54-inch manuals, they show shear bolts on the auger and impeller.

That must be the newer version of the 47" you're looking at. In that version the 47 looks just like the 54. The OM for my blower is for 47" and 59" blowers for the 55 Series, 670 & 770 tractors. In that manual, the 47 looks just like the 59 and the auger drive box is completely different than the later 47 & 54. I might try taking the impeller off of my 59", remove the shaft key and replace that bolt with the proper grade of bolt to effectively turn it into a shear bolt.
