Buying Advice JD 5525

Looking for some help in picking replacement tractor to pull round baler, bale wagon. I have been using 100hp tractor with 90 pto which has been plenty of power.
Found a Jd 5525, 2008' with 650 hrs. New loader, cab, air, 4wd, 2 remotes, power reverser, air seat, very clean, 44k.
Wondering about price range, and reputation of that model. Any insight is much appreciated.

what kind of baler are you running?

I like the slightly bigger frame of the 6410 or 6420 a bit better. A bit bigger all around about the same Hp.
I heard a rumor the 5000 series models were made south of the border. Not sure and dont care either way but it do affect resale.

The 5525 is a very nice tractor and with only 650 hrs that's like new. The price is within reason. What baler are you using?

Vermeer 5410. 4x5 bales.

It comes with bale spear and Jd 709 cutter. About 30 hrs of use.

that tractor will handle a 5x6 john deere baler.good all around utility and hay tractor on a livestock farm.

That's an excellent combination. No problem for the 5525 to handle the 5410. I'd say go for it.

i bought the 5525. moved the rear wheels out a couple of inches and added wheel weights. also added deluxe 3 scv rear remotes. Baled 90 round bales Sunday and it performed great. fuel consumption is only complaint. Have not tried the econo 540 yet with baler. wondering if it would work and how much fuel it will save. Really like the air-conditioning. Never had it on more than low even in hotest part of day.
The dealer told me could not add a third remote, and had to replace set of two with set of three. Nice set up, as first scv has flow control, and all three have knob on top to control different equipment. Anyone have any experience with these?
