I have a 2006 or 2007 JD 540 lawn tractor. It has run a bit lean at and near idle since it was new. I took it back to dealer and had it serviced, came back a little better, but has since gradually slipped into annoyingly lean again. So the symptom is, it idles, but it revs a bit and settles, again and again. I guess it does this cause there is a governer involved. Whatever, what I'd like now is a picture of the carb, showing the low speed jet location. I'd like to increase fuel flow at low RPMs to make it smooth out. I am capable and willing to remove the welch plug if needed. Does anyone know where on-line I can look up to see a pic of the carb showing the parts labeled? Or, can I buy an engine manual which includes the carb diagram? I guess I could go back to the dealer and ask if he has such a diagram, and maybe just get a copy of that page. Any ideas? Thanks!!!
