I am in the learning curve on tractor repair and maintenance, so thanks in advance for any replies and or advice.
Included in a larger purchase of equipment was a JD 5300 tractor (3200 hrs, 2wd, collar shift trans). The first symptom was when changing FEL attachments. The inplement attachment brackets moved independently of one another instead of together. After some more use, it has developed a bumping or slight jerking when raising the FEL. It can also be felt in the steering. Fluid is full and clear(ish). There was a whining sound that seemed to go away when the hydraulics were engaged. After 3 hours of the most recent use there seemed to be a more ominous sound coming from the tractor that we could hear over the engine.
These are new symptoms; we had used the tractor for 100 hours or so with no issues.
* Left out an important detail:these symptoms only occur after the tractor has running a while and is running at temp.
Thanks again for any replies
