New guy here -great forum and would appreciate some advice.
Got a JD 4600 w/ 460 loader.
Found a used 48 hoe w/18" bucket I'm considering. It is real dirty but looks in "good" condition, needs seat and other small items. Owner say's it has about 50 hours on it. Hoses have been replaced. It was purchased in 2003. Has not been used much (or at all) in the last 4-5 years, but stored covered.
Owner wants $4500 for the hoe, plates and power reverser. My JD dealer says it will cost about $900 to install. That puts me ~$5300 into it.
Given that these are not made anymore, what do you think would be a fair offer for this unit (not including install).
Anything I should look at carefully before I buy?
