Looking for some help on a 3PT issue. I have a 2003 JD 4610. When I move the 3PT lever to the full up position the hydraulic pump does not release and places a continuous load on the engine. When the 3PT lever is moved approximately 1 inch forward of the full up position the pump will release and the load on the engine will stop. I've talked to a couple of JD service personnel and have not gotten an answer on the problem. Thanks for any help on this problem.

LWerneke - welcome to TBN. Lot's of knowledgeable folk's here.. and once in awhile the advice is well worth the price!
Sounds like maybe you got somethin' goin' on with your 3pt linkage.
I'd pull the rear tire off (tractor well secured with blocks and floor jack if possible) and crawl under there with a good light and check the linkage movement while someone runs the lever thru the up-down (engine off).
Let us know what you find out!

Check and lubricate the linkage from the rockshaft lever to the transmission case-it gets sticky after a while. There should also be an adjustment for the feedback circuit for the rockshaft, but I would have to look that up on JDParts to confirm.

The feedback linkage rod comes out from under the seat and is attached to the end of the left side rockshaft, where the lift arm is fastened, by way of a bracket. Your tractor may be different, but it will have this adjustment.
