I have a 4x4 Model 4600 PowerReverser with a leaking right front hub seal. I removed the hub and checked on the local dealer site, where oil seal #35 on the schematic shows to be part #LVA14181. I ordered the oil seal from my local JD dealer but when it came it the replacement seal is a double lip design whereas the seal I removed is a single lip design. I asked the parts guy about the difference, he said it's possible that the double lip seal is a design improvement, but he doesn't know for sure. I paid $39 for the seal, so it's not like I'm ok with giving it a try and then replacing it if it's the wrong seal. Anyone have any experience with this subject?
