JD 4110
Looking at getting a BH at time of purchase of 4110 and like the more sleek appearance of BH6000 as well as the specs compared to the JD 46 BH. Would there be any advantages to getting the 46 from factory with tractor vs adding on BH6000 when tractor arrives from factory, put on be dealer? Any thoughts on each one's performance? Thanks for any help/input!!

Is the BH6000 available with a sub-frame? That would be the way to go. I have a BH6500 on my 4100 using the 3ph method and I don't recommend it. Too much lateral movement and it's just too heavy for my machine. Too bad because the BH itself is a really quality piece, just too much for my tractor.

whats the difference spec wise between the two? If its not a subframe mount, I wouldnt risk it....besides the 46BH would be covered under the Deere warranty, and looks at home on the 4100-4115 series machines....how much improved is the woods over the deere?

Subframe mount is available and only way I would go. JD dealer claims it is covered under warranty (until something breaks probably). Specs on BH6000 are at link below.

I have the BH6000 on my 2210. Very happy so far. It is a subframe mount, and appears and acts very stout and beefy. And powerful for it's size I might add. And I was assured the warranty is in place. As far as the $ question goes, I got the BH6000 installed for 4400.00, best I could do pricing the JD 46 hoe,(on a 4110), was 5600.00 installed. Spec's are pretty close, pressure, reach, etc. Good luck, you'll be happy with either!

pepsidog,

Are you able to use the belly mower with the subframe mount? That price installed is a great price. I have been quoted for the just hoe anywhere from $4500 to $5300.

I didn't get a mower with the 2210, as I'm keeping the JD325 for the mowing duties, but the answer to yer question is yes, the backhoe subframe mounting kit that stays with the tractor is compatible with the mid mount mower. Although I don't have any pratical experience, that's what the dealer told me anyway. The 2210 I ended up with, I belive the dealer had it on the lot for a few months,(maybe more than a few), and was anxious to move it, hence a pretty good package deal.

I am considering a BH for my JD4110. I don't really know much about them, but would assume one of these would be what would work on my tractor? Where do they tap in to hydraulics? Does anything have to be removed for the sub frame?

Oh, I forgot --I can't find any good info on Johndeere.com about the 46BH. Does anyone have pictures, or know where to get specs? Thanks

here are some pics that may help you with the 46bh, its attached to my 4115. i dont think you can run a mid mounted mower deck on the 4110 or 4115 with the 46, but i could be wrong. the subframe is quite large. i run heavy john deere backhoes at work 310sg and 410g, they are very nice. i feel right at home on this little one, but it is not quite as smooth as its big brother. i never expected it to be though, so all in all, i am very happy that i bought the 46bh. its a great little unit. the only thing i would change is, when it is all the way up and locked (travel position) the bucket is kind of low. i have several steep banks around, so the bucket gets snagged when travelling sometimes. its really not a huge deal. i have never tried the woods series to compare it.
