I recently bought a 445 from a friend who said it had a flooding issue and he assumed it was the injector. I pulled it into the shop today to do some diagnostics and found that the right cylinder only had 60lbs of compression due to the valves being way out of adjustment. The right cylinder was bone dry but the left was severely flooded. I adjusted the valves and now I have 200lbs of compression on each cylinder but I still have flooding issues. The fuel pump will properly prime the system but the injector will leak down into the throttle body. The previous owner was unaware of the problem with the valve clearance so he tried to disassemble the injector to see if it could be repaired. Im thinking the injector was damaged causing it to flood the engine but I would like to confirm that there's no problems with the fuel pressure regulator or any other sensor before buying a new injector. What would be the best way to check these parts?
