I looked in my fuse box and the slot where the air ride seat fuse is supposed to go is hot but no fuse. Is there wire run back towards the seat for this? I have an open station tractor and I am looking for 12v power switched by the key to power a solenoid and thought this might work if it is already there just needing a fuse?

My 2008 open station 3320 did not have the wire going from the fuse box to the seat. If I remember right the wiring came with the air ride seat base so I didn't have to source the wire but did have to run it to the fuse box. I'm just guessing but maybe the open stations didn't include the wire as its probably more common for the cabs to have the air ride seats.

If the wire is there its probably bundled up and and zip tied to something near the back of the tractor, similar to the work light wiring connections.

Thanks, did you add the air ride seat to the open station tractor?

Yep, I added the air seat suspension base but used the stock yellow seat which was still in good shape, its a huge upgrade in comfort on lumpy ground. The old suspension would sometimes bottom out on the big bumps and had no damping, just the springs.

That痴 interesting, I don稚 know if the 3 and 4 series are the same but I have to assume there are some similarities. Do you mind telling me a rundown of what the process is to switch them out? You mentioned it coming with its own wire, I take this as meaning the compressor is built into the base?

Its pretty easy to swap them out as all the bolt holes are the same, its been a couple years but this is what I remember: Remove the old seat from the old suspension (a few bolts and unplug the seat safety switch wiring). Remove the old suspension (four bolts). Remove the seat belt from the old suspension and attach to the new suspension (a few bolts). Install new suspension (same 4 bolts) and run power wire under floor board to fuse block (hardest part of the job). Optional is to install the included rubber bellows that covers the entire suspension, I chose not to. Install the old seat and safety switch wire (same bolts) and that's it.

Yes the compressor and switch are built into the base. It also has a small shock absorber which combined with the air suspension provides a nice ride. Downside is cost, I think it was over $600 but if it saves trips to the spine doctor well worth it :)

Thanks, that doesn’t seem to difficult to install. The tractor is still new to me so there are several things I’m working on to make it suit my needs a little better.

On running the wire to the fuse box. Do you have to pull the steering wheel and all of the plastic from the top down to gain access or will the fuse box come out on its own? Sorry for all of the questions but I might go ahead and run a wire to the seat and use it for my solenoid and then if I put the air seat in I can just splice in there. Thank you for all of your help and time.

On mine the seat fuse slot had already been tapped into for the JD electric diverter kit installed by the dealer. The diverter wire harness had an extra connector on it near the fuse box so all I had to do was plug the seat wire into it, I don't recall it being difficult to snake the wire up from below to the fuse box. I do remember thinking that if that plug hadn't been there I probably would have had to take the plastic panel or panels off to better access the fuse block.
