I bought a 4310 with 430 loader. It was supposed to have manuals but did not. I need to buy a metric threading die for something else. I want to know if I should get a single die or a kit.

Does the 4310 and 430 use metric threaded bolts and Zerks?

not absolutly sure about the whole machine, but from my wrenching, mostly metric, yesterday I discoverd the front lug bolts were 22 mm and the rear lug bolts are 13/16. those are the head sizes, I know some wrenchs are interchangable but these two were not the same size

I use metric wrenches as a first resort when working on my 4310. I know most of the bolts in the drive train are metric. As for the tap and dies, you can NEVER have enough tools!!! What ever breaks will let go as soon as the stores close for the night or the weekend

Yes I am familiar with the never enough concept. But I am getting a few things and don't want to overdo it.

Thanks for the responses.

as far as those metric taps/dies goes you will always need them in the future.
I waited 20 years for a good deal on an SAE set, now I need a metric set, hope I don't have to wait another 20.

Harbor Freight has some fairly inexpensive sets. Not what I would view as quality, but maybe good enough. I don't expect to use them a lot.
