Thanks for taking time to read this and offer suggestions.

I recently purchased a 2005 JD 4310 (serial number: LV4310H331629) with only 100 hours on it. After casting a broad net, this was the machine I thought best to purchase. Problem is, it didn't come with the options/attachments I wanted to purchase. So, assuming I can't get a JD loader, I'd like to know what aftermarket loaders I should consider and what model numbers would fit my machine (i.e. there is a BushHog M300 near me for $1500, would that fit?). Also, I did pick up a 72" MMM, but I don't have a mid pto or lift kit, what are the actual JD part numbers I need for this. I'd also like to add one rear aux outlet, which part number do I need. Thanks for the help!

I have a JD spec manual for the 42-4400 series John deere tractor that has the part numbers for some of the parts you are looking at. Send me an private message with your email address and I will send it to you. It will give you the part number for mid-pto and rear remotes.

You can get all the part numbers by going to jdparts.com. Free registration, and just put in you model # and browse the listing for 4310, then alphabetical.
Also, would highly recommend you get the service tech manual for the 4310 through Deere or a place like eBay. You will need that to do the mid-mount work. The rear aux. outlet (3rd SCV) plumbs into the dual control valve and has the 3rd valve in it already. The kit may, or may not, be available but believe the individual parts are.

Thank you both very much, I'll get the service tech manual and continue the search.

Any thoughts on an aftermarket loader?

My thought, as I can't imagine having a better or even equal FEL than the 430, would be to locate a used tractor/loader combination and keep the FEL and sell the tractor without. Might be tough to find, and it might be tough to sell tractor without the loader. But I'd sure give it a try... if me.

Is the Deere fel not available? I would think Deere has a fel to fit most of their tractors.

The 420 (you don't want that) and 430 loaders probably aren't available for order any more, but you might find one (old "new" stock) if you can find a dealer willing to look.
If you want to stay with a Deere loader, the loaders used on the new 3x20 series will fit.

John Deere has a really easy to use parts site. Googling "John Deere parts" will get you there. Out of all the agricultural parts websites I find theirs the easiest to use. They are the only ones with a "where used" search. It's awesome for finding used parts.

When I priced out my mid pto kit they were around the $1500 mark. There were a few kits left in North America at that time. (two years ago). I googled the kit number and came up with a kit 2.5 hours away for $250. It's now in my tractor. It wasn't hard to install and came with an excellent set of installation instructions. If you end up needing them I can scan them or John Deere might have them on their website. I know a lot of their operator's manuals are available there.

As previously mentioned the valve block for the rear hydraulic outlets is already on the tractor. It's part of the joystick controls for the front end loader. I bought my rear outlet with my tractor new form the dealer but I felt afterwards it was a rip off. All I would buy from John Deere is the lever etc. and I would run hoses and outlets to the rear myself. You'd save quite a bit of money unless you can buy a kit at a discount. Any agricultural supply store can make up the hoses for you with the right ends. The John Deere kit comes with metal pipes but hoses work well too.
