JD 4300 Turf Tires and R4 tires

Does anyone know if they share the same rim size or is it different? I just bought a 4300 off ebay and it has turf tires on it and I'm wanting R4's. Does this tractor share the same tires and rims with other Deers?

Don't think so but check the manual to be sure!

I would go to JDparts.com

Look up your tractor model and find the part number for the wheels you want, then check "where used" (all that use that part number). I know there is a way to do that. kennyd might be able to explain it better.

Looks like the rim diameters are the same (per the link that Glen so kindly provided), but if you want to be sure, sign up for JD Parts and get the wheel part numbers.
I've had R-4s and R-3 (different tractors though) and, frankly I just never noticed if they're the same rims. I can tell you the rims for Turfs and Industrial are welded (rather then bolted like the Ag rims are).

Here are the four different rims for the 4300, per jdparts. Also, a pic of the rims of the 4410 which is similar to the 4300, including the split wheel/rim. Some part numbers the same and a bit more descriptive given for the 4410 parts.

Different PN's and sizes for the R-3 and R-4 rims (AM122842 and AM122844) so they are interchangeable even though they look quite similar.

Looks like BRBurns is goingto have to buy tires and rims if he wants R-4 tires.

You worried about mud or snow? Have you thought about chains? I would run what you have to see if you can live with it...

Traction in dirt and snow. I have allot of grading to do this summer to get my yard ready to seed this fall. I will probably just try these tires unless I can find someone that wants to trade.
