JD 4300 transmission choice

Trying to decide if I should spend the extra money for the hydrostatic transmission vs std.

Go hydro!! There are 4 things that must be on any tractor that I would buy, 4WD, powersteering, FEL and hydro! ....Did I mention get the hydro? It is worth it in resale alone. Once you own a tractor with it you will wonder how you got along without before!.. Go hydro.. oh, i said that already.

I have 4300 with hydro and I'm happy with it.

I live on 22 acres and will be using the tractor for blowing snow, bring in firewood, cutting grass and other odd jobs. As you see it will be used a lot. Most people are telling me to by the hydro trans. The cost is a lot more and I not sure if it is worth it. My current tractor is a Alis CA (1953) with a woods mower. As you can see I am use to a std.
