Hello all,
I have a 2000 JD 4300 that seems to have a problem with the rockshaft. With implement attached (plow, landscape rake or boxblade) I experience what I would describe as bleeddown and a reset by the position control, regardless of height. Ive found a couple of good threads in rergards to this and to the inline screen on the 4300's and an updated high pressure filter- I have the former. My question: Is there a way to tell if this is a problem with the rockshaft cylinder itself or a problem with the valve. Because it happens at any height, I dont think it is correctable with the rockshaft stop adjustment. I did hang the boxblade on there last night and closed the rate drop adjustment- blade was on the ground this morning. Does this indicate a problem with the cylinder or could it still be a problem with the valve. Is it possible that changing to the new filter might alleviate this. Thanks for any input/ info you have to offer.
