JD 4300 ball joints (tie rod ends)

I recently noticed a fair bit of play in my left tie rod end so looked up the pt # on the web and called the dealer. He confirmed the pt # and got it on order. When I went to install it I found that the threaded portion was slightly undersized. Further checking showed that it should be a 1" thread, but the replacement was metric.
Turns out that the number in the book was wrong, but the tie rod end from a 4320 was a perfect fit...

Anyone else run into this?

will post if I run into the same problem I am looking for tie rod ends and just realized they may call them ball joints insted of tie rods so thanks for the information
