Intermittent failure to turn over, now gotten worse and wont even turn over now.
Battery fully charged - Dash Lights On - New (kit) Starter Relay - Bypassed Seat Switch & Hydro Switch on the lever. Turn the ignition on, go to start, nothing.
Can hear the timer box, cycling sounds the same as usual. I went thru all the grounds, all good there.
The starter seems to be fine. I thought at first i might of had a bad spot in the starter, but when i cross the solenoid wire to the HOT cable on the starter, the starter works fine.
Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this tractor?
I would like to find out which pole on the ignition is suppose to have power, and see which pole sends battery voltage to the relay, then from the relay to the starter.
I`d really like to fix this tractor. I bought it brand new in 1989. Thee ole`boy is kinda part of the family. Just rebuilt the motor last winter. Rebuilt the 60" deck entirely. (new belt - bearings - blades - wheels - u/joints in drive shaft)
Hard to give up on it after all the money i put into it over last winter.
Thank you guys
