If I were you I'd be looking at a Kubota L39 TLB if you are requiring a backhoe. You will get (slightly) more power a dig depth as they are designed for one another. Any way you go you will not be disappointed. I've always been a Deere man but Kubota's new stuff is really nice. I would go with a cab with whatever you get, a cab, whether it be a factory or a aftermarket like a Laurin they add a lot of resale value and make it wonderful to use in any condition.
Wallenstein hoes work well. I think there the only compact backhoe that have a extend-hoe on the gx 920. I haven 't seen any other compact backhoe that does.
John Deere makes an excellent backhoe for their compacts. They make, in my opinion, the best construction grade backhoe on the market, ran them for years, and their compact backhoes are the same quality. Wouldn't by anything else. Sure kubota still makes a good hoe though.
