hey guys I just looked at an H & H 20' tilt bed trailer 10,000lb. has anyone had experience loading with a trailer like this? or would I be better off with a trailer with ramps? only will get used aprx. 6 or 8 time a year

The only reason I do not have a tilt trailer is the price. They are the cat's meow when it comes to loading and unloading! Ramps or heavy duty gates can be a royal PITA.

If you can afford the tilt model, I say GO FOR IT!:D

I have a ramp trailer from Alum Line that is 20' with 5' pointed nose. It barely accommodates my rig with the MX5. The wheel hangs off the back. I prefer to have a bit longer trailer so I can alter my tongue weight by shifting the load.

Hey 1960,

You describe the biggest PITA I have run into with a 20ft equipment tralier with fold-up ramps: having the bushhog on the 3 pt for travel... can't back in because of the spare tire holder, can't fold up the ramps without the bushog WAY up... just can't get the weight right with the set-up!

That leaves you wishing you had a flatbed to transport the bushhog with... truckbeds do NOT like bushhogs!

With the tilt, you can lay the bushog down anyway, or maybe back on if there is no spare in the way (?)... if you can shell it out it's definitely got my vote!:D
