Well I have my choices narrowed down to the JD 3320 and the Kubota 3130. The JD would have the 300cx loader. The Kubota would have the LA723 loader. Both dealers are close and both are good.
Either one will be hydrostatic. Price wise the Deere is $2000.00 cheaper. I got quoted $22,000 for the Kubota, $20,000 for the Deere.
They both look really comparible. I like the ergonamics of the Deere better. The kubota itself looks a little bigger in size. I like the R4 tires on the Deere better.

On either one I will be adding the backhoe and harley rake down the road.

What do you guys think??

Both are excellent tractors. The Kubota Grand L series has been out for about four years now and has proved to be an exceptional performer. The JD 3x20 series not as long, but not many changes from the previous models so it's a time tested performer as well.

Your decision will probably be made on dealer, features and price. Go with the dealer you are most comfortable with. They will be your "partner" for quite some time. Regarding features, some that I like about my Kubota Grand L 3430 are:

* single pedal hydrostat - IMO much more convenient and operational for loader work
* hydraulic actuated PTO vs. electric - IMO more durable and much easier to feather engagement, less complicated than "electric" feature
* extendable 3pt hitch arms
* manual cruise control vs. electric - again simplicity
* 723 FEL with skidsteer quick attach - one of the best loaders ever made, easy on-easy off, powerful and quick
* skidsteer quick attach - worth its weight in gold, JD should have adopted this feature with the new 20 series tractors. They have on their skid loaders and industrial small tractors.
* steel hood and fenders - fender stays put when you grab it to mount the tractor
* cool orange color - IMO much easier to find out in the yard after you've stopped for a refreshment

Price - Kubota has found a way to offer superior products that lead the market in share and are generally priced much less than their JD counterparts.

The above reasons are why I chose Kubota over JD. Your reasons may be similar or not. Have fun making your purchase.

I don't know anything about the Deere, but I love my L3130. I have the DT tranny and I only have the LA513 loader with skid steer quick attach. I have loaded R4's. I think you could do a little better on the price though. I paid $18,000 out the door for the tractor, loader and a 5ft Woods Box. I could have gone with the HST for $1,000 more (I wish I would have).

As with everything, there are many sides to the story.
Your pricing sounds very competetive,, and there are other
options that can be added to compete with the Kubota's features,,, like the skid steer attachment carrier for the loader, and the telescoping draft links. (yea yea, i wish
they were standard too)
Many on TBN will argue the single vs twin touch pedal design. That will be a preference item.
As far as the PTO clutch, :

Multi-disk wet clutch/Multi-disk wet brake

A multi-disk wet clutch (A) is used to engage and disengage the PTO independently of the transmission traction clutch. A multi-disk wet brake (B) stops both the mid and rear PTOs; keeps implements from coasting to a stop.

The Deere is not an electric clutch, as per sales info.
The Deere engine offers direct fuel injection, my info
says the kubots is indirect.. again, minor details.

And as you have heard, the dealer support should be a large
part of the decision. It sounds like you have 2 good ones to chose from, that's good.

Let us know how your decision goes...

Pricing is regional, but you can certianly do better on the Kubota.

My Dad got his 3320 a few days ago...

and IMO its very disapointing.
Lacks features and capacity compared to the 3130, and it was actualy $1,000 more than the 3130. We got quotes for $18,600 from 3 or 4 places on the 3130

Big beefs on the 3320?
no telescoping endlinks?
crummy tilt adjust on the 3pt
low lift capacity on the 3pt and loader (even vs the 300CX)
no auto hood latch
CLOTH radiator screen??
narrow narrow R1 tires
loader manual suggests $$$ worth of rear wheel wieghts + balast box, only told AFTER purchace

To me the JD has the controls all dialed in perfect. sit in the seat and levers and other controls are all easy to find and use. However at the end of the day I would say that the Kubota is hands down the better tractor for getting stuff done.

Ok, that said both tractors should do what you want it to do, and if one fails to do something you need it to do, a different tractor would likely be better than the other one anyway (IE bigger or smaller than the direct comparison)

One other feature of the Kubota that is rarely mentioned is the servo assist HST pedal. I did not drive the JD (because I have problems with the dealer) but I don't believe that it has this feature. The Kubota takes the same force no matter how far you press the pedal. This could make a difference by the end of a long day of loader work.

I am well pleased with my L3130.

Yea,
the Deere twin touch pedals are just switches,,
no mechanical linkage. Very easy, little effort
or resistance.

I had narrowed down to the exact same 3320 vs 3130 a month ago (both HST with the largest capacity FEL and BH they could carry) ... I went orange

The big swing items for me were the skidsteer QA, steel vs plastic, and the dealer.

I did prefer the deere pedals, but the bota pedal is second nature now after 20 hours. Each had things that "won" over the other, so it came down to the intangibles ...

As to pricing ...
my 3130 was $20,679 (HST-F and 723 loader, toothbar, bucket hooks and reinforcement). Prices are regional, and I know I didn't get a "smokin' deal" (maybe 5% higher than what I've seen others quoted).

BTW, if you plan for a BH on the 3130 in the future, you'll need the folding rops ...

it sounds like the telescoping draft links and the
loader skid steer carrier are important items in these purchases/comparisons. is everybody aware of the fact that both of those items are available on the Deere machines?
My gripe with the SS carrier for the loader is the fact that skid steer buckets are even heavier than the normal buckets, which effectively reduces the lift capacity of the loader. I'm sure it has it's place, but the JD quick tatch system on their loader is great, and most every attachment that one would need can be ordered with that system. (obviously for the guy with a skid steer, it saves having 2 different mounting systems)
