Bought a new JD 3046R (cab) one year ago and I am disappointed with the finished product. Little things like the washer fluid only goes 1/3rd of the way up the glass in front to clean. The rear wiper is useless cleaning the window to see over your right shoulder, especially when snow blowing. the rear glass is coming out of its rubber seal. I had to replace the alternator at 10 months. that was covered by JD. I had bucket problems with the dump roll for the first few months I had it. My dealer finally replaced the torsion bar that goes between the lift frame. A few other things too. was wondering if anyone else experienced any problems?

I have a year-old JD 3039 (cab) and have not had the problems you describe...but I'm in FL so snow isn't an issue and I don't use the wipers much. Can your dealer re-seat your rear glass? That should be covered. Sorry you are having issues. Hopefully your dealer can address them with minimal out-of-pocket for you.

My dealer has been a champ. It is the disappointment in John Deere that has me riled up. I spent 50k on this new tractor. I wanted to stay American. I have looked at Kioti and Kubota since I bought mine of the same style and HP and I was very impressed by the quality. When you spend that much on a new tractor with name of John Deere you expect it to be well made.

You can have similar issues with any brand, these are not common problems specific to 3045R tractors or Deere in general.

I've always been happy with JD tractors. I wouldn't consider your JD a "lemon" just yet. Some machines of any brand have "teething" problems, some from sitting on the lot for so long. Hopefully your dealer will continue to address these issues and you'll end up with a good tractor. If you have major issues develop with this, and these problems seem chronic, maybe you could negotiate with JD for a replacement tractor.

No problems here (really) I have the same issue with fluid spray. I will correct it somehow. I don’t like where the antenna is mounted. They could have engineered it so it could be horizontal or vertical. I’ve busted it two times. Guess what? You have to buy the whole antenna wire and assembly. No components sold separately. First time I tapped both antenna and base and screwed it back together. This time a little more trouble. I’ll need to replace it all which means top has to come off. On the bright side I can change out the crappy factory speakers.
