JD 2520

Hello! First post. I am leaning towards purchasing a JD 2520. Where is this tractor made? Thank you.

It is a Yanmar, Japanese tractor, with final "assembly" here in the US, I believe. Pretty much SOP. No tractors, to my knowledge, as in the engine and components, are made here in the North America until one is talking about the big, big stuff. It is what it is.

Grateful for some assembly by Kubota and others here in the US, but compared to actually making all the components AND assembling? That is a day gone by.

That is a moot point. The days of MADE in USA for things like that are long gone.

Welcome to TBN Northern 1

Nothing wrong with the quality of Japanese products. It's the "other" country over there that has quality issues. I can tell you first hand,the craftsmanship is pretty darn good on my 2520. Don't be swayed away because it's foreign.
Heck,the Yanmar diesel is one of the best engines made.:thumbsup:

Yep.....just got my 2520 last week, and I'm very happy with my choice. Haven't even gotten a twinge of "Buyers Remorse".

Great choice. Doesn't really matter where it is made, the important part is dealer support and available parts. In my opinion Deere is #1 in that area.

I purchased my 2520 in November 2005, other than some mower deck issues, which were corrected on later versions of the 62D, the only problem was a recent hydralic leak at the quick disconnect (easily fixed), and that is after a few hundred hours of use. Love the tractor and it does a great job.
