John Deere 2305 - 2010
Greetings All,
Just want to say what a great quality forum this is with what looks to be a wealth of good information. After a year and few shake down items and small fixes; my new 2305 is the great little machine I beleived it was going to be. And very happy it won over Orange!

Welcome to the forum, glad your 2305 has served you well, ours blew an engine, lift cylinder needed to be replaced etc., we still have it, but use our BX's much more often.

That's unfortunate about the 2305. What year is it?

There might be some info about the rear pto issues you need to know about. Some have caused issues so i dont know if its serial numbers or what but would be good for peice of mind

That's unfortunate about the 2305. What year is it?

We bought it new in 2007/2008. We were in the market for an upgrade from a JD425 and had a BX2200, so thought we would try a John Deere. After living with it in and out of the shop, for a year, we bought a BX2660 for our home place and use the JD2305 at another property.

I believe it is just one of those lemons that slips by all manufacturers.

Welcome aboard and glad you enjoy yours like the rest of us enjoys ours .Had one for 2 yrs and the last one for 5 with close to 700 hrs when I bought my 1026r. Just watch the transmission cooling fan , never had the fan to break but the bracket that holds the fan to driveshaft broke. Cost about 175.00 and I did the repair.....
Oh also had a diode to go bad ,kept the tractor from running. not as much cost I think it was less than 5.00..
