I have a bit of a quandary. I...

a) Ran my 2210 out of fuel for the first time...in a blizzard.:cold:
b) I cannot find my service manual, and
c) Despite the 2210 allegedly being equipped with "auto-bleed", it does not start after being re-fueled despite lots of cranking.

Is auto bleed not so automatic? Is there something I need to do besides re-fill and crank?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Bummer, I'm gonna be no help. Ran mine out once, fueled, cranked right up, but in warm weather. :(

It was about +13 deg F when I tried. It's +6 now, and it's only going to get worse tomorrow, we're supposed to hit -20F. Of course it's parked between a shed and a hedge where the blizzard wind is funneling up to about 40mph. It's a delightful place to have a stalled tractor while the snow piles up waist deep everywhere else.

Steve: the 2210 has a seditment blube on right side. follow fuel hose from tank to it. Their are to bleader screw's faceing outward. Once you have fuel in it loosen up each one until fuel come out. You should see the seditment blube fill up when they loosen. Now follow the fuel line too the lift / injection pump.
The fitting has a 12 or 13mm bolt. Loosen it until fuel come out. The system should be blead out enough too start. Open throttle wide open, hold you hand on it. turn the key on for about 12 too 15 sec, then start. Hold rpm about 1000 to 1200 for a few minute's. It will start up on 1 maybe 2 cyl then shortly all cyl will be running.

Ahhh, I saw that connection and wondered if that might do it. Thanks very much for the help.

I will post back and report if it worked, but it may be days. The wind shifted to the west overnight and the tractor is blocked in (or perhaps buried) by 5 feet of snow.

I ran my 2320 dry (had turned off the fuel valve.. It took it about 8 to 10 tries of cranking (on/off, let rest) to get it back primed and running..

Sadly in your temps your battery may not want to crank for that long..

I finally got to the tractor, and this method worked perfectly for me with one modification. I did not mess with the filter housing and loosened the banjo fitting about 2 turns and cranked, surmising that the banjo fitting downstream from the filter housing would purge the air from it as well. Within 3 seconds the engine fired, and I tightened the bolt back up, increased the throttle to about half, and cranked again. 10 seconds later, the engine started and ran rough for about 2 minutes after which it was usable.

Interestingly, I never observed fuel coming from the loosened fitting, but it apparently purged the air perfectly.

Thanks for this great solution.
