JD 2210 Folding ROPS Soon To Be Available

Last week I sent an email inquiry to Femco, Inc., on the availability of a folding ROPS they are developing for the JD 2210. Today, I received a response to that email from Rick Young of Femco. Here is the message he sent me and I just wanted to pass it along for those who might be interested. Don't know what the cost will be on this when it becomes available - but I have heard unofficial JD estimates of around $200.00.

"Sir, we have a proto type built for the 2210 and are waiting for a frame to test it on. Once it is tested and certified it would be available in 4-6 weeks. We will keep your e-mail address and let you know when it is ready or you can check with us from time to time.

Thank you for the inquiry."

I'm definetly in for that foldable ROPS. Thanks for the info.
Will it be available from Deere of will we just get them from Femco?

Not certain on this prosperity. It appears from the JD people that I have talked with that once Femco does it's R&D (research & development) thing, then JD has to approve the final product. Once JD gives their approval they will definitely sell it. I say that because the JD people I have spoken with have already been provided with a ball park selling price. I have no idea if Femco will also market it.

Hi Chris:

Nothing new to report on the JD 2210 folding ROPS. Femco and my local JD dealer predicted it would take about 3 - 4 months when I contacted them in May. Although I have been checking, I really have not expected anything until the end of August. As soon as I hear anything I will post it here.
