My blinkers just stick on. They come on with the key, and stay on regardless of any turn signal switch or light switch position. Occasionally I can get one or the other to turn off, or blink a few times, then it wedges again.

The local dealer suggested a new module: LVU800247. That's a $70 module that is supposed to do all the blinking stuff. But I replaced it and I get the same results exactly. I went back and forth with the modules twice, just to make sure.

I blew out the dusty contacts on all five modules mounted by the right foot pedals (behind the plastic panel), with no effect too.

Anyone seen this one before? Is it maybe a bad switch?

I searched Google, and about 20 minutes after this post I found the perfect link- just my problem! I go to it, and it brings me back here... In 20 minutes Google had scanned the new post, indexed it and was returning it to me in a search result... amazing...

I found out that the turn signals work fine (as warning blinkers) with the switch disconnected. They don't stick on or anything (with the old relay pack too). The switch ohms out OK, but doesn't work in circuit, which is odd. But I can use a bit of wire to mimic the switch, and everything works great, so I'm going to try to take the switch apart.

The switch may have moisture in it?

Try putting dielectric grease in all your wire connectors. If there is moisture in there that will take care of it. Also you may have a frayed wire that is intermittingly coming in contact with another. I had a similiar issue with lights on a 4 wheeler and the grease took care of it. You already tried the flasher relay. That would have been my first guess.

Let me know what you find out. Mine have been doing that for about two years....You are randomly going along...all of the sudden right blinker comes on........Usually I then turn the swtich to left blink so both lights come on steady.....then mayben a week later it will stop....then mowing along......left blinker comes on.....then maybe both come on solid......

Eventually I pulled the plugs frmo the lights on the ROPS, but I would like to fix it sometime...

I'm interested too! I 've got a 4200, and have bought the $70- switch, but have yet to install it. I can't get my hazards to stop! Temporarily pulled the fuse 'til I 'get at it'.......~Scotty

Turns out that turn signal switch went bad. Very odd, and I had to trace the circuits out. But when I pulled the switch everything worked fine (except no turn signals). When I short the wires in the harness to mimic the switch, the signals worked fine too. So I just need a new switch (someday) and I'll be set.

So I've got a brand-new relay here (LVU800247) that ran $75 that I don't need...

Kennyd probably nailed it- now that the switch has sat inside for months, it is probably dried out and fine. :)

Just for interest:
On my 4200 one blinker would only work part time. The problem was a rusted ground connection inside the light case. Used a solder fix rather than just a surface contact connection.:)

I know this is a 5 year thread, but I had the same problem on my jd4110. Disconnected the signal light switch, everything works perfect! Was going to order a new relay,(LVU800247) jd wants $143 CAD for one. Glad I happened upon this thread. Just gotta order a new switch. Tks Zephrant

I still have the brand-new relay (unused), and still haven't ponied up for the turn signal switch. I've never been on anything other than my property, or the private road that comes in here, so don't really need the signals. I figure I'll just wave my arms if I ever do need signals.

I would like to fix it someday though, just to fill the hole in the dash.
