i have a JD 2040 that will not pick up the arms on the 3 point hitch anyone had this problem before and is the fix difficult?

What's your tractors serial number? Early model 2040 is open-center & late model is closed-center requiring different diagnoses. How long since hyd filter changed & sump screen checked/cleaned?
