Loader JD 2030 with 46 loader - how to unmount the loader

Hello all,

I have a 2030 and I need to unmount the loader. I've searched on line and haven't found any info on the process to remove the loader. I would prefer to avoid the trial and error approach.

Are you positive you have a model 46 loader? It appears from viewing parts catalog # 815 that a 46 loader was designed for rowcrop not utility tractors. Could your loader be a 146?

Hi Jim,

The decal indicates it's a 46. I haven't searched for a serial number tag to verify. I researched on line and looked at the 146 and it doesn't look the same. I looked for a picture and found this one. It's exactly like this one.

I think it's mismarked. I found more pictures which would indicate it is a #48.

So the original question still applies. How do I unmount this loader?

Remove the 3 bolts(circled in blue) on each side then raise loader up off of mounting guides(parts key 9) and back tractor out from loader. If you have mounting stands(1st photo) you could use them to support loader
