JD 2025r and 2032r Pricing - Canada

Hello all,

We're currently in the process of purchasing a bare parcel of land (3.1 acres) to develop and build a house on, and this had led me to the tractor side of things.

I have a quote for a John Deere 2032r tractor with H130 FEL and 62D Mid Mount mower for a price of $29,435 Canadian. It's really tough to get a Canadian MSRP for any JD equipment so I thought I would bounce it off of the members here.

I may also consider the 2025r, but thought I would start with the higher priced/larger tractor first. I would be developing the acreage and then once developed, maintaining gardens, lawn, driveways and snow removal.

I have considered the Kubota's as well but for now the focus is on the John Deere, simply for resale value in my area.

Basically go to www.deere.ca then residential products and look for "Build Your Own" and you will get CDN MSRP pricing.

And remember - the "Alberta Advantage" is no dealer will discount and expect to pay 15% more than rest of country. (<-;

It's pretty funny... website says $29,990 for the same items that were quoted out at $29,500.. and I got another dealer quote today who made it clear he didn't want my business as i'm outside of their service area gave a quote for $30,500... Yes... sometimes the 'Alberta Advantage' equates to nobody needing your business and the pricing reflecting that!

Based on a quote I have, that's about $1000 higher than Ontario. I doubt you could ship one for much less than a grand.

Probably not..but I would be willing to go pick one up somewhere else in Alberta or even into BC/Sask if the pricing was right. According to the sales guy that phoned me, $500 was a "smoking deal" :shocked: Need to keep looking!

I would consider other makes and brands. Check out the link below and see what you can find/get for much less money. Dong Feng are one of the better Chinese brands and easier to work on and trouble shoot as they don't have the troublesome computer and sensors.

Oh - and they are just outside of Edmonton which would be a plus for you I think.

I got a price from Edmonton, Westlock, and high prairie when I was looking to buy mine. I can't believe I'm admitting this but they are all Martin Deerline, in other words the same dealership. Later on looking for attachments the pricing in Athabasca or Fort Saskatchewan was way cheaper. From my understanding they are the underdogs of the Deere dealerships and therefore more willing to work with you on price. I could be way off here but that is my two cents.

I now have a total of 4 quotes, local, 2x within a couple hours and 1 from Nova Scotia. The 2 non-local Ontario quotes, including delivery are within a few dollars of each other and equivalent to about $1000 less than you Alberta quote. The NS quote is $1500 less than the ON quotes and the local dealer (also ON) is $2400 more.

Prices seem to vary widely by dealer and region.

That seems like way too much to me.

I thought a 2032R with a loader could be had for like $25,000? It's a small machine with limited capability, yet they want 30K for it. Heck you can get a 4105 or a 4044M for an extra 5K, and it's 3 times the size!

Would seem to me 12% - 15% discount would be at least reasonable expectation in ON = $25,500 approx + Tax.
