I am reconditioning my JD 111 while my JD 318 is in the shop,. The deck is off right now but I noticed that with the engine running, the PTO pulley is spinning - regardless of whether the switch is on or off. As a matter of fact, if I get off the machien with the PTO switch in the on position, engine still runs.
This does not seem normal and before I took the deck off, the drive belt had burned up. Now I think that was because the PTO was always on. Antone know what could be the problem?
