JD 110 TLB Seat Compatibility

Does anyone know if the seat on the older John Deere 110 TLB's can be replaced with a seat from a newer model 110 TLB or any other JD model tractor. This seat flips back so that you can operate the backhoe. Mine is pretty rusty, so I'm looking to replace the whole thing from the platform to the cushions, otherwise I might have to break out the stick welder and get creative.

On another note, does anyone have any leads on parts 110's or do these things literally last forever?

The seat on these from my little experience is for the TLB only and a fortune to replace. My spring/height adjustment failed (in the seat a shock rides on a roller pin and that pin broke loose from the shock and cracked one end of the connection point) , I couldn’t find parts and the only seat I could find was OEM Deere. It’s been awhile but I want to say it’s like $1400.
I decided I’d live with it like it is.

Maybe someone has some better news for us both. If it’s functional I would clean it up and keep it.

It depends on the serial number of the 110TLB. A complete newer seat is $838. A seat for an earlier model is $1636.

I would break out the stick welder, grinder and paint and get creative.

I'm guessing no news is bad news when it comes to compatibility for these seats?

It seems that one of the only differences between the 2000-2011 110TLB models was a seat change in 2004 from the solid mounted flip-over to a spring assisted flip-over.
