JD 110 TLB \"REALITY CHECK\"

The most money I can raise in 5 years is $30,000.
Question, is that enough to buy a John Deere 110 TLB
My guess is no

But it will cover the taxes and registration fee /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It think it will take a little over $40K to get out the door. But then you don't have to come up with it all at once. There are loans.

Ever consider used TLB's?

I Had a chance to go to the Shasta District Fair this last summer and Ray Welliver had one for sale for less than $37000. I'll try to attach a Picture of me in the drivers seat By the way, good to here from someone else who lives in Northern California. I'm in the town of Weed

Simply put, NO. You'll need at least $40K and more likely $45K including tax to get that JD 110TLB.

Re: JD 110 TLB \"REALITY CHECK\"

Unless you have a bunch of tight/small areas, $30k would buy a really nice full size Backhoe, or a super nice mini excavator. With some shopping, $30k would buy a used compact tractor and a used full size backhoe.

Counter thought, Seen some slighty used L48s under $30k.
In five years, there will be some lightly used 110s too.

Deere Rancar

Awhile back I went to Machinefinder.com and found the following prices.

34500 hours 1
37500 hours 1
35500 hours 1
32000 hours not given

In March of next year, I am going to decide if I am going to buy one of these fine machines so I will ask again.

Could someone please tell me if I could buy a John Deere 110 tlb for no more than $30,000

Thank You for your time

Deere Scott

The main reason I did not go with a Kubota is because I do not like the placement of the foot controls on the hydrostatic models, of course a friend of mine does not like it ether. He OWNS a Kubota.

As far as tight spaces, yes there are a few.

Thank You for your time.

P. S. The John Deere X595 does not even have turning brakes, go figure

Re: JD 110 TLB \"REALITY CHECK\"

Dennis, I have a dealer near me that has 2 JD 110's sitting in his lot now. He adds to them a 4N1 and a few other options. I believe he wants $45K for them. Subtract about $3500 for the 4N1 and controls and you will be in the ballpark. There are a number of folks here like Tags and Joe Real that have JD 110's. I had a Kubota L48. I'm indifferent about the pedal arrangement as I have a JD mower that has the twin pedal. I find it neither harder or easier to operate. About the main difference is that on rough terrain, it's easier to control my single rocker pedal because the bouncing and jouncing have a little less affect on my foot in that position. The JD 110 is a great little TLB, very well made as I am sure your aware. I know my dealer has sold all he gets. They have been sitting in his yard a litle longer though which means he's probably getting close to MSRP. There are times I wish I had a hoe but frankly have so many folks around here with them that I had resorted to calling them. Next week we have a CAT 426 hoe doing a little footing work. It's got a 24' reach and we need all of it. I'm down in the Auburn area and frequently work in the Palo Cedro area near Redding.

Re: JD 110 TLB \"REALITY CHECK\"

Best case scenario for just the base model with nothing added would probably be around $32,000. And that's if you can find a dealer that will deal with you that low. The retail price on the base model is $41,000 with nothing extra. I'm not sure how much mark-up there is on these but I would say best case scenario you are looking at a minimum of $32k if you can find the right dealer.
