FYI:
I had a 1070, and was generally impressed with it. Traded up from a 955. Then moved on to a 4700 because I wanted HST again.
I might have kept it if the tranny was more friendly for mowing and similar tasks. Unfortunately during mowing, the pto should be kept at a constant rpm, which means ground speed is constant. If the mowing requires speed changes, e.g. around trees, etc, or short runs, or uphills, then there's a lot of shifting required. Also there's a significant speed gap between gears 1 and 2, which is where the mowing was the best. I found that gear 1 was frequently too slow, and gear 2 was too fast. Since mowing is such a frequent activity, these limitations of the trans got to be a real pain.
FEL work wasn't too bad -- the shifting becomes second nature, but the 4700HST sure beats it.
