Will a post hole digger work on a John Deere 1026R ?

There may be a problem in regards to how high the 3pt hitch can lift the auger. You might want to try a test fit or get some really good measurements to see before committing.

I think that is one area where the 1026r hitch does not match cat 1 specs.

My friend used one on a 1023E to put his fence up, so it may work depending on how deep you need to go.
