J2030h Keeps automatically shutting off

check dual brake pedal switch. Mine checked ok with ohm meter , but when i jumpered across,, it solved my issues !!! . If the engine dies when you turn on pto then it is definately a safety switch. !!! there are 4 in the circuit !!

Aren't there 4 wires on the brake safety? Which ones did you jumper? I've been having this same issue for a year and I'd love to get it fixed. Thanks!

I dont remember,. 1 set of wires does the brake light,the other a safety switch I have an old 1951 8n ford tractor , the only safety on it was a neutral switch !! yet with common sense driving, it is safe and works !!! After a few months i re developed issues so i finally ran a wire from key{there was an unused connector that was NOT hot til the key was turned on } and ran it to the fuel shutoff solenoid !! NO MORE PROBLEMS !!!!!!! PTO switch works great, the tractor works great ETC ETC ETC , Hope this helps

I have had the same problem with my J2030H. Can't find a fix. Would like to hot wire the fuel shutoff solenoid but can not find any image of it. Could you share were it is?

Did you figure out how to hot wire it? My 2030 had starting problems. Tractor would run fine, next day start and shut off instantly. If you hold the key briefly it stays running till you let go of the key, then dies. I try 5 or 6 times and leave it sit for awhile. Sometimes it will fire right up, other times you realize today your not using the tractor. I replaced the instrument cluster and that fixed it, but now its doing it again. Seems related to the weather and moisture. If we have had a good rain, it acts up. Its really seems to be an electrical issue, not fuel. I have the seat switch bypassed, but that mod was done years ago.

Is the key switch part of the cluster? If not I would replace it, or at very lease check the functionality of it with a meter.

As for hotwiring it, most diesel fuel shutoff solenoids run for 10-20 seconds after you turn off the key. To bypass it, disconnect it, put a switch in line with it and turn the switch on before turning the key off.

I'm still investigating it, but battery was low cause it kept stalling. Put the charger on it for a few and fired up and stayed running. Almost like there's a sensor if it doesn't read a certain voltage it shuts off. Its original battery, needs replacing. The local battery shop said they don't have one like this and yet their sign out front claims they got everything. Lol Guess I need to order from dealer
