j d 290 corn planter

Dont know if this is correct thread or not,if not can someone direct me to right one. Used neighbors J d 290 corn planter there is a disc in front of fertilizer chute we are thinking they are wore out as it kept plugging up,cant seem to find out what they are called and if that is the problem,1962 model and discs are kind of oblong we are thinking they are wore out and should be replaced but dont know what they are called any help on subject appreciated Thanks Slammer
