Mowing Iv got a beauty 45 46 47 trail mower BUT

It is rope activated. Dont have the manual, so dont know how to hook a hydraulic cylinder up. I know there is one mount on the rear frame, but where does the top of the cylinder go/mount to? Anyone can help me?

Here are some pics - not very good, its dark in the shed. It has an eye loop on the frame and is currently using the rope lift/drop system. On the top bar where the rope is located, it looks like the small arm that is attached has larger hole to accept a pin from a hydraulic cylinder.

Pin a standard 8" stroke agricultural hydraulic cylinder to the mounts shown in your second and third photos. Lower mount is welded to the frame in the third photo and upper mount shoves up against the lift assist spring in the middle photo. Any bore diameter between 2 and 3 inches will work fine.

Going to give it a go in the morning. Will let you know if Im cutting grass with a manual or hydraulic mower. Tnx

As they say in Golf....YOU DA MAN. Works perfectly. Hyd cylinder little too short so had to put a steel spacer on the 'bumper' but, works fantastic. Even cut some standing third crop last night, just before the snow came.
