...and runs great!

Here's the original thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/138691-2-cylinders-leaking-thru-intake.html

2 new pistons, 3 ring sets, 6 valves, worked the head, and the normal rebuild items, are what I did.

The first start wasn't as satisfying as I was expecting, until I found an injector feed line loose and dripping fuel. A quick turn of the wrench brought the idle up. The second start (even after cooldown) brought out a huge smile. :) Where I before struggled for 10 minutes to get it started, it now starts in a couple of revolutions. And the power...I forgot what that was like. :D

Thought I'd pass this along. Thanks all for the help!

Steve

You have accomplished something many of us would not even attempt to do.
Congradulations!

Congratulations! It is a good feeling to know that you did it yourself. I too had a leaky injector when I first started mine up. I just tightened it up and she smoothed right out.

Good job Steve.I'm guessing that your going to keep it now. Also betting you crack a smile every time you fire her up for years to come.

Thanks for the props, guys. Yeah, it is rewarding knowing you did it yourself. There is that trepidation when you first turn the key, wondering if you did something wrong. And yes, I'm having fun just starting it. I'm actually looking forward to cutting the grass. (maybe)
