It IS Cold In Michigan

I stumbled across this forum while looking for plans to build a leaf vacuum. I saw a lot of knowledge that I hope will be helpful to us here.

My wife and I are on staff at a Bible camp in northern Michigan (lower peninsula) and there is are 80+a acres of land to keep tidy. A John Deere 435, Toro lawn mower and a Ford Jubilee (the queen of the fleet) to help with the tasks. Two plow trucks and a Case backhoe round out the equipment list.

I am looking forward to rooting around in the knowledge base here.

This is a great group of friendly and knowledgeable people, with a perspective on almost any type of equipment - a great resource.

As a Canadian who had resided in Edmonton, Alberta - I well remember the cold / deep winters in Michigan. I spent two years at Calvin College, Grand Rapids Michigan and I remember the 4-6 foot walls of snow (more than the chill actually).

I'm back on the other side of the Continent now. Blessings at the Bible Camp (my kids were on summer staff at local Bible Camps out here, and loved it).
