Re: It finally came & I\'m in love
BMW -
I know our properties are different, but with barely 30 hours of seat time on my
L2500, I've used the loader for:
- Distributing piles of delivered crushed rock
- Cleaning up the spoils from boxblading a couple of acres
- Picking up rocks of all sizes from all over the property
- Creating hundreds of yards of new road (in conjunction with box blade)
- Back-dragging to smooth out portions of said road (works better than box blade sometimes)
- Removed a large stand of blackberry bushes (reach over the top, drop bucket edge, back-drag)
- Digging out three culvert sites
- Transporting a hundred or so sandbags and sacks o' concrete to the culvert sites
- Transporting 5 culvert pipes to the culvert site (using bucket forks)
- Carrying lots o' heavy tools to and from wherever needed
- Cleaning up brush, tranporting to the brush pile (using bucket forks)
- Moving 29 concrete stepping stones from one side of the property to the other
- Transporting a large doghouse several hundred yards to the well head (using bucket forks)
- Popping small dead trees out of the ground (using chains and/or bucket forks)
- Moving logs (using bucket forks)
Mind you, there are probably other ways of accomplishing some of these things, but few are as convenient or save as much time as the FEL. I believe a loader will pay for itself on that basis alone. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
