My hand throttle broke today. The little .10 cent roll pin, or maybe it is .25 cents now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I was giving it more fuel and the throttle moved rather easy and off in my hand it came. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

My subject line makes it sound bad, /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif however I think I can deal with this. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah I figured the headline would catch ya!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll get it fixed soon. Grab me a punch and a visit to Dads house, (endless supply of roll pins) and it'll be as good as new. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was just hoping to get a little sympathy from the nice folks here. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, that's what you get for buying a cheap off brand knock off slapped together faulty metal tractor. If you had spent just a few thousand more dollars, you could have gotten a John Deere that would have had an on board computer that could provide a self-diagnostic test to tell you that the roll pin had broken (you probably lost several hours of productivity trying to diagnose the problem, correct?). Then, your local dealer could have dispatched a fleet of service trucks and technicians to rush to your location (I picture a scenario similar to firetrucks heading out of the station), with at least one truck pulling a replacement tractor to use while repairs are made. Remember, it just costs a little for to go first class.

Hope everybody can appreciate the sarcasm above. I had a very similar thing happen with the pin on the 4wd lever on my DK 45. I'm not even sure what the OEM part was, but a 1 1/2" long 1/4-20 bolt fit right in. Good luck with your tractor.

Ahhh poor RedDog. It must have been so traumatic to have this happen. I hope the neighbors are bringing food over so you or the wife don't have to cook until you're over this terrible tragedy.
You know we'll all be praying for the quick recovery of your prized DK.
Is that enough sympathy? Good! Now get over it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif John

Yeah, pretty much seems that you're just a bad man, and a terrible dealer and all those others who've bought from you, and were happy, WERE JUST MAKING IT UP! John
