On the TS1610 looks like the axle shaft passes through a gear inside the tractor. On inner side of the gear there is a nut on the end of the axle that holds the shaft in place onto the gear. So you will need to get deep into the housing under the seat. I can post more later.

awesome. thank you . yes i had to tare everything apart, but im glad i did, the oil was very milky. i drained everything, and filled it with parts cleaner to sit for a few days. now if those $98 seals would finally show up, i can put it back together. you wouldnt know where i can get gaskets for this do you.

For a gasket look the the thread " Bolens G154 / Iseki tx1300f", post #123. He cut a gasket from a roll of gasket material.

Can anybody please help me in my ordeal to locate the simmering for the rear axle of an Iseki TG 23?
It might have the article number BQ 5258 E. The dimensions are 59x89x25.
Where in the world can I buy a couple of those?

Hello, I tried to get OEM gaskets for my tractor and found an online parts supplier who
told me that they could get any gasket I needed so I ordered 4 just in case
I screwed one up. After waiting many many weeks they told me that they
could not get those gaskets. I did some research and found out that the
gaskets I needed were called compressed gaskets. I was able to find out
the thickness and found a place here in New Jersey that sold the gasket
material I needed and this material was now asbestos free. You need the correct
thickness gasket material so when assembled the end play of any of the shafts
is correct. When the material is compressed from the start it stays at that
thickness but also seals like a gasket should. I still have at lest 8 feet
by 4 foot wide roll of gasket material so where are you and if you want
I can send you what you need to make your gaskets, free.
If you are interested send me a PM. Or not.

Are you sure you have the correct measurement? I'd suspect they are 60x90x25. W can supply seal.

My second post to the forum. I have a Bolens G154 that had a slow drip on the right rear axle. Replacing the seal turned it into a faster drip, so I bit the bullet and pulled the axle assembly. Now I have questions like what to use to pull the inner bearing after removing the circlip, and what exactly is the gasket thickness? FXRS55 had some gasket material, but I’m willing to purchase it to get the tractor back together. Can anyone help the new guy?

Hi Dave, i have many manuals for this Bolens G154 (i think it is the same as my iseki T1300f). In some of them they actually explain on how to take some parts of engine or tractor apart. Send me a pm with your email and i will send you all manuals i have. I cannot promise that what you need will be in there, but its worth a try.

About gaskets: Just buy some gasket paper at a traktor shop. I really don't think the thickness makes a difference on the rear axle... It will just take you one hour to create on, see if it fits, then create a second one for spare from the shape you have. Just my 0.02...

Thanks for the quick reply marcelPL. Your expertise is appreciated. This is my first tractor and while I know my way around a wrench this is something that I feel a little out of my element on. In addition, its unlikely that my wife is going to let me purchase another any time in the next 20 years. I have to make this work. I’ll send you a PM with my contact details.

Thanks again.

Don't give me the credit of expertise. I am probably the biggest idiot on this forum ;)

I started my tractor life some 8 months ago, and have spent many hours in the garage since then. These iseki/bolens machines are really nice and powerful, but need a lot of work to keep them running. Or maybe i just bought a monday morning version. For every 3 or 4 hours operating, i spend in hour in garage.

Good luck on your repairs. Somebody already said this to you: Take a few hours to fully read the thread from frx555 about his machine. This was a case where everything what could be wrong actually was wrong. Very detailed with good photo's. You will find all the info you need there.

You will find it here:

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/iseki/273164-bolens-g154-iseki-tx1300f.html

Good luck,
M.

I can supply you with seals. The axle has to be removed to replace the seal. You have to remove the lift housing to access the circlip that holds the axle in.
