Went to TSC this morning to grab a 6' landscape rack to help with the limbs. Ran into a guy there from Carteret County. He was headed inland looking for a large generator and a fuel tank. Said he had wife and 6 kids at home, youngest 4 weeks old. Said no way he was going back home till he found the generator. We made a few calls and found what he was looking in Raleigh and he took off.

Local news just said EVERY power pole on Hatteras is snapped. Sounds like some folks are gonna do without for quite a while.

Wow, no fun at all... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Sorry that you all had to go through it and hope that you dig out OK. Also hope that the tractor wasn't damaged /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Take care, dig out, and rebuild - all you can do. I was driving to Columbus, OH yesterday and was amazed at the number of utility company vehicles were headed east. I recall several specifically from Missouri. Help is on the way!
