I'm in the process of a project to mount a 6.5 foot power angle polw to the loader arms of my 7308 loader on a tc33d NH tractor. I have found a 6.5 foot Meyer tm6.5 "personal" plow and am wondering if it will be stong enough or will the tractor be to heavy for it and twist it up like a pretzel? Thanks for any input.

It should be fine. Put a "hinge" to it so the weight of the plow itself is the only downward pressure. I would think that if it were some fixed (unhinged)arrangement and were the full weight of the loader arms (in float) that it may put too much stress on it.

make sure you leave the tripping action on it, and make it so you dont use donw use down pressure and it will work, but dont think its going to be a bulldozer....

Thanks for your input. I originally intended to mount my back blade on a frame I have built to mount on my loader arms. What I didn't like, which led me to going with a snow plow blade, was the lack of trip springs and all the weight of the blade and the loader arms were applied as down force. With snow blade, it will pivot where the plow normally pivots on the A frame, and have the trip springs. I am also installing a dual line pressure relief valve just in case I would hit any thing it will allow the blade to give or pivot back and hopefully prevent any damage.

Here are a few pictures of my plow progress. Since these pictures I have purchased the lines to run from the dual line cross over valve to the manifold block with the quick connect couplings for the front loader.

What are you using to control the angle of the plow? Are you using a rear remote or something else? I am in the process of doing the same thing.

computerboy: I'm using the two ports from my front end loader. There are four quick disconnects for the loader hydraulics. Two for controling the loader arms and two for controling the bucket. The cylinders that curl & dump the bucket are disconnected and the two plow angle cylinders are pluged in with quick disconnects. I installed a dual line cross over valve to allow the pressure from one cylinder to by pass to the other if I would catch the corner of the blade while plowing. I would like to add two flow controls on the angle cylinders as they do move quickly if you move the control too fast. Hope this helps and good luck with your project. What size plow are you going to use?

I would question the strength of the angle iron you used but then it depends on the amount of snow you will have to push. In my area 24" of snow isn't uncommon.

Well I got to try out my project. We had 6-7 inches of a wet snow this morning and so far it has worked perfectly. I want to say thanks to everyone who posted pic of their plows which inspired me to build the same.:) I also have started on a project of mouting a power window motor to rotate the chute of the snowblower but have not had chance to wire it up yet. I have tested it with a spare battery and it works nicely. My concern is will it be strong enough to rotate the chute if it gets iced up while blowing snow? Here are a couple pics.

Looks really good. Should handle anything mother nature throws your way. I'm wondering if you could tell me what make the soft cab is. The exact same one came on my NH 1925 and was just wandering what kind it was. mine has a tear in the back plastic and need to get it replaced/ fixed somehow.

thanks.
